Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists MAC Hosing Society was established in 2008 with a sole objective of securing house site for eligible journalists working in media organisations based out of Hyderabad.
After thorough scrutiny the Board of Directors gave membership to 1105 eligible journalists. The society bought 70 acres from the government paying market value.
Both the land parcels are located in Medchal-Malkajgiri district - 32 acres in Sy No 332 of Nizampet and 38 acres in Sy No 25/2 of Pet Basheerabad.
After resignation of 56 members, the current strength of the society is 1049. The society is preparing for development of layout in both the places.
